I guess you could say that my background and my life consist of education and athletics.  Growing up, it seems like we were always doing something related to sports, and now it is the same with my family.  

My mom was a teacher, and I have several other family members who chose education as their career.  I met my husband, Kyle, who is also a teacher, at Tarleton State University, out on the track at high jump practice. Athletics and education is what brought us together.  

We have lived in Clifton and worked here at Cranfills Gap ISD since we were married in the summer of 1998.  We have raised, and are still raising two pretty great kids.  Aiden is 21 and finishing up his last semester at TSU.  He will graduate in December with a degree in Construction Management.  Aubree is 15 and beginning her sophomore year.  She is looking forward to graduating in a few years and attending Baylor University.  

I have always loved participating in athletics, which helped lead me to Tarleton, and now I get to put that passion into coaching.  Also, over the years my favorite pastime has been (and still is) watching my kids compete in their athletic endeavors.  Athletics and sports are part of our family identity.

I am so blessed to have a career that brings together two things that have always been important to me, education and athletics.  Cranfills Gap School has been a home away from home for me and my husband for almost 30 years, and we are so happy to have had the opportunity to teach here for so long.

>  I know math is not easy for everyone, or for most people, but keep an open mind, and keep trying.  If you decide you can’t do it, or it is too hard, then you are not giving yourself a chance to learn something valuable and pretty cool (if you ask me).

• Math teaches us problem-solving skills and improves our logical thinking.  Both are valuable throughout life.

Tutoring Information:

• Available during 2nd breakfast daily.
